Culinar puts an even larger focus on customers during 2017, as they will increase service and shorten lead times. To manage the planning work, Culinar have teamed up with Optilon.
This year Culinar initiates a project together with Optilon to implement process and decision support for master planning and production planning. The purpose with the implementation is to increase productivity by shortening the setup time, increase service levels, and make it possible over time to shorten lead times.
” We have noticed the need of a system support for master planning and production planning in our factory in Fjälkinge. After evaluating technology and distributors, the choice landed on our planning partner, Optilon. Our common objective for 2017 is to take Culinar’s planning process to the next level and enable more transparency, a more proactive approach, and reduced costs through productivity improvements, reduced WIP and inventory levels. This will further improve service and shorten lead times for our customers,” says Martina Bärnheim, Supply Chain Manager, Lyckeby Culinar AB
” After a couple of years collaborating with Culinar and focusing on development of the demand planning and inventory optimization to increase service levels, the timing has come for new production processes such as master planning and detailed scheduling. We see a clear industry trend with focus on service levels and availability as well as reduced lead times. This is where Optilon through innovative technology and lots of experience, help our customers to further strengthen their competitiveness,” says Jim Thulin, Business Area Manager Food & Beverage, Optilon
