Automation Improves Availability for Optilon Client Skånska Byggvaror

E-commerce company Skånska Byggvaror strengthens the supply chain organization with a new way of planning in order to streamline the work and manage continuous growth.

Skånska Byggvaror’s recent years of growth is positive in many ways but it also requires more from the company, not least from planning. In 2014 Skånska Byggvaror chose to make a process review and found themselves to have outgrown the then current planning solution for forecasts, inventory management and purchase. A more effective solution was necessary to manage their supply chain challenges, to enable them to meet their high set targets on availability and inventory turnover and to create a highly automated planning process to translate market demand into optimal inventory and supply plans. After evaluating several providers and planning applications, resulting in the choice of Optilon and the planning application ServiceOptimizer99+ by ToolsGroup. The implementation started in the summer of 2015 and the solution was live within 4 month.
