SKF improves their planning process in co-operation with Optilon

Together with Optilon, SKF will improve their planning process.

SKF is taking the next step in their global planning strategy. This will change the current, decoupled planning into a global planning process – enabling new, global optimization possibilities but keeping and leveraging the local knowledge.

“We are good at planning, but we can not keep a competitive advantage if we plan our entities along the supply chain in isolation. This project will transform our way of working by integrating the demand planning, distribution planning and master scheduling into what we refer to as ‘Integrated Planning’. It is the latest step of a several year co-operation with Optilon. They have been really good in challenging us and our way of thinking, helping us finding new ways of working with our Demand Chain,” said Jörg Schlager, Business Transformation Demand Chain, SKF.
