Norway’s largest ice-cream manufacturer Diplom-Is initiates a supply chain project together with Optilon to strengthen the company’s supply chain.
Diplom-Is AS, a subsidary to the Norwegian dairy company TINE AS and Norway’s largest ice-cream manufacturer, initiated a project this spring to streamline their supply chain. The project’s target is to increase productivity, diminish inventory and increase service levels to Diplom-Is’ customers. To achieve the goals, Diplom-Is together with Optilon, will improve their replenishment, manpower planning, distribution planning, as well as production planning and sequencing.
”As a food producer in general and ice-cream manufacturer in particular, we at Diplom-Is are very aware of the importance of a first-class supply chain in order to deliver qualitative products. We do not want to leave anything to chance and trust Optilon to support with both expertise and choice of the right applications. This project will make it even easier for everyone involved in the supply chain to make the right decisions on time and with good service and keep supplying our customers with high quality products,” said Kai Simonsen, Supply Chain and Planning Manager Diplom-Is.
